And this is NOT a stupid question, not at all. Mara’s name is pronounced thusly. And you can also watch/listen to the pronunciation in the trailer.
That said, I know a few Maras and some pronounce their names like with a short A (as in apple); so that pronunciation isn’t wrong, it’s just not how I pronounce my Mara’s name :DÂ
FYI, my mother says her name with a short A, and won’t stop no matter how many times I correct her.
